Experimental study of one-step economical retarded sandstone acid

Abstract The objective of this study is to experimentally evaluate a new acid combination HEDP: CH 3 COOH as retarded minimize some limitations high-temperature sandstone acidizing, such fast acid-rock reaction and secondary precipitation pipeline corrosion. In work, the acid–base titration, core-powder solubility test, scale deposition corrosion rate measurement corefloods were carried out performances combination, including acidity characteristics, performance, preventing rate, corrosivity improving permeability. And then microstructure mineral content in samples observed analyzed with SEM–EDS. results evaluation tests indicated that has excellent on deposition, permeability enhancement lower corrosivity, comparing conventional mud acid. SEM EDS showed changed after treatment. Compared acid, system can react more small particles surface less skeleton decrease contents Mg, Al, Na, K, Ca Fe relatively lower.
